Android
  1. edgeEngine is available through the Google Play Store.
  2. Just search mimik edge service on the Google Play Store.
  3. After you find the app, just click on Install.
  4. Follow the prompted instructions to install edgeEngine on your device.

iOS

The easiest way to integrate edgeEngine to an iOS application is by adding a MIMIKEdgeMobileClient wrapper cocoapod to your project with the following additions to your project’s Podfile:

platform: ios, '12.0'
source 'https://github.com/CocoaPods/Specs.git'
source 'https://github.com/mimikgit/cocoapod-edge-specs.git'

target 'your_target' do
    pod 'MIMIKEdgeMobileClient'
end

Raspbian
  1. Extract the files archived in the .tar file that you have downloaded from the edgeEngine download page.
  2. Open the command line and simply run the install_edgeservice.sh setup file under the extracted folder:
./install_edgeservice.sh

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is installed successfully by running the command:

ps -ef | grep edge

Check if there is a process running under /opt/mimik/edge.

Beaglebone
  1. Extract the files archived in the .tar file that you have downloaded from the edgeEngine download page.
  2. Open the command line and simply run the install_edgeservice.sh setup file under the extracted folder:
./install_edgeservice.sh

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is installed successfully by running the command:

ps -ef | grep edge

Check if there is a process running under /opt/mimik/edge.

QNX
  1. Extract the files archived in the .tar file that you have downloaded from the edgeEngine download page.
  2. Open the command line and simply run the install_edgeservice.sh setup file under the extracted folder:
./install_edgeservice.sh

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is installed successfully by running the command:

ps -ef | grep edge

Check if there is a process running under /opt/mimik/edge.

Linux
  1. Extract the files archived in the .tar file that you have downloaded from the edgeEngine download page.
  2. Open the command line and simply run the install_edgeservice.sh setup file under the extracted folder:

You can check if edgeEngine is installed successfully by running the command:

./install_edgeservice.sh

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is installed successfully by running the command:

ps -ef | grep edge

Check if there is a process running under /opt/mimik/edge.

Windows

Run the .exe setup file that you have downloaded from the edgeEngine download page.

Follow the on screen instructions to finish the installation.

Once the installation is finished, edgeEngine will be running as a service in the system background.

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is actually installed successfully by opening Task Manager, under Services and search for “EdgeService”.

macOS
  1. Open the .dmg that you have downloaded from edgeEngine download page.
  2. Follow the on screen instructions to finish the installation.
  3. Once the installation is finished, edgeEngine will be running as a service in the system background.

Double Check

You can check if edgeEngine is actually installed successfully by opening Activity Monitor and search for “edge”.
